Bibliography on Jerusalem Bibliography on Jerusalem Selected material on Jerusalem 1995-2001. The Multi-Sector Review Project's (MSR) preparation of this Annotated Bibliography was based on desk review of material available on Jerusalem as part of the MSR review of different sectors in Jerusalem. To comprehensively review data, the project was engaged in compiling material on Jerusalem (1995 and onwards) in the form of published books, articles, conference presentations, chapters in books, research documents and others. Around 250 documents by Palestinian, Israeli and International sources were collected in English and Arabic with relevance to the MSR focus on sectors including education, health, welfare, housing and infrastructure, tourism, economy and culture and heritage. These documents are not exhaustive of all that was written on Jerusalem. Other material exists but was either not available for the MSR team to review or was not somehow related to the sector reviews of the MSR project.

Jerusalem Maps PASSIA has endeavored to present here a broad range of maps covering much of Palestine's modern history. While many of these maps represent PASSIA's own work, others are drawn from secondary sources - as indicated beneath the individual maps. In the event of discrepancy, confusion or mistake, please see the original sources for clarification. |
The Jerusalem Forum Is an Amman-based non-governmental organization geared to educating, and exposing the human dimension of the Palestinian people and their attachment to their land; past and present. Its Internet site intends to tell the story of the Palestinian people in the hope of helping to build a growing database of documented, credible information for posterity. It will become interactive with the world, pass on the Palestinian message to a worldwide audience-- scholars and general interest readers alike-- and expose them to the existence of Palestinian culture, life, and history.
It may be observed that a significant portion of Jerusalemites' content centers around the Holy City. This is because Jerusalem is the embodiment and symbol of Palestine. Therefore, when speaking about Jerusalem it applies to Palestine as a whole. |
